  1. The configuration program isn't finished yet and due to that setting up is
  2. mainly a process of editing ASCII-files, which isn't fun.  It shouldn't be
  3. that much work, though, since complete example configurations are included.

  5.  - Change the current directory to where you extracted the distribution
  6.    archive and where the install script is.
  7.  
  8.  - Type "execute Install".
  9.  
  10.  - Do as the install script tells you to.

  12. If you want your system to function as a FidoNet (or equivalent) node, you
  13. will also need to configure your mailer (and remove the reference to Answer
  14. from TechCon.Cfg) and create some more directories.

  16. This should be enough to get started and see what the software is like, for
  17. more options and information you should read TechnoBBS.guide.

  19. The unregistered TechnoBBS will fail for an average of 50% of all the
  20. attempted calls.  You might have to try several times before it works
  21. properly.
